My only problem with  death on the road is after you’ve got several bonuses and 
the games’ progressed to a point, you get to a stage where it’s not getting any 
harder and you actively have to work to lose.
It’d be interesting if the game  got more hazards and expantions that insured 
it had some sort of ending, or at least a limit on the amount of bonuses you 
can buy son  so you don’t  end up with goodness knows how much health.

The one I've spent the most time on is Death On the Road; one time, I
went several hours without my points ever going down; crossing the
road at just the right time, grabbing every bonus item, and if one of
those items was a bomb, I was very quick at putting those digits in
order.
