As far as I know, your screen reader setting doesn't affect the HUD voice. Its
used in a select few locations only.

Subject: [blind-gamers] tvd and screen readers

Hi,
I'm playing the open source version of Three-d Velocity. It seems that tdv
is unable to detect my screen reader even though NVDA is started. Is this
inentionally left disabled for now, or is it supposed to work? I'm finding
the HUD voice to be painfully slow, so I thought it would speed things up
a bit to use a screen reader, but maybe the HUD isn't affected by this at
all

Thanks,
Tobias
