Hi,
I am back from my trip to South Dakota. And thanks to flying on 5 or so planes,
I have more suggestions that I hope will be implemented. Yes eurofly is a game
and it probably will never be 100% realistic but these ideas could help based
on what I noticed while flying. Oh and the pilot of the one boeing 737 we flew
on let me and my sighted-11-year-old-son check out the cockpit of the jet after
we landed in Denver Colorado and gave us both plastic united airlines wings
pins to pin onto shirts. The jet cockpit was quite tight and cramped. And
between the first officer’s seat and captain’s seat there was a big box or
panel with all kinds of knobs and buttons and switches on it. And I could hear
the whine or hum sound of the flight management computer and other aircraft
systems while sitting in the first officer’s seat in the cockpit while the jet
was at the airport gate. Now on to my suggestions… and yes these may require
more parameters in the .def files.

Taxying...

When taxying the engines should power up a lot more than they currently do to
push the plane forward when pressing home and power down a lot more
dramatically when pressing end to slow down. Also add sounds for when the jet
is turning on the ground, a high squeaking squealing sound is what I heard when
the landing gear wheels were turning to make the jet turn while taxying.
When holding end to slow down, and when breaking, you should hear the sound of
big tractor-traylor breaks, if you know what I mean. When the plane reaches
speed 0, or parked, a clunk sound should be heard. That is what I heard when
the breaks were fully on on my flights. This would make eurofly more
accurate-sounding.

Taking off…

First, Flap sounds are good in eurofly. No change there I think. Second, When
taking off in eurofly, whether you hold in home, or press alt home, in both
instances both engines should power up dramatically. The sound of landing gear
and flaps going up is fine.

Climbing and descending and landing…

When climbing and yes this I think will require some additions to the .def
files in eurofly but it will be very much worth it! So when climbing, I would
like to hear the engines power up all the way. When done climbing and the
aircraft levels out, the engines should power down maybe to midway. Like if max
pitch is 40000 they should power down to pitch 35000 or 30000. And when
descending they should both power down significantly, get quieter, while wind
sound gets a little louder.

Turning…

In flight, When turning left. You should, in eurofly, hear the following. The
right engine powers up a good bit and gets a bit louder. While the left engine
powers down a great deal. Then when coming out of the turn the right engine
powers down to cruising speed pitch, and left engine powers back up to cruising
speed pitch. When turning right the opposite occurs. When turning right, left
engine gets louder and powers up its pitch raises a lot higher, engine gets
louder, right engine powers down a great deal and gets quieter. When coming out
of the turn left engine gets a little quieter and powers down to cruising speed
pitch, while right engine powers up a good bit back to cruising speed pitch and
gets louder leveling out with the left engine in your left ear or
headphone/speaker.

Landing and descending…

When descending or the nose is at a negative angle such as minus 5 or minus 15,
both engines should power down a great deal and get a bit quieter. When
leveling off, engine pitch and volume should raise back up to cruising speed
pitch.
When landing, the touchdown sound is fine. But right away when you hit alt-end
to slow down, if plane is going faster than 100kph, both engines should power
up to max, this would signify or mean that the spoilers or reverse thrust is
turning on, to slow down the plane. When plane reaches 100kph, and if you
either hit b for breaks on, or end, or alt end to continue slowing down, you
should hear a tractor traylor breaking sound. And when the plane stops or
reaches speed 0, a clunk sound should be heard to mean that the breaks are
locked.

Fueling the plane…

The fueling up sound is perfect! You got that all right. When we took off from
Rapid City to Chicago they had to put fuel in the embraer 145 plane we flew on.
Later on, if you all wish, I have a nice clean recording of my flight from
rapid city to Chicago on the embraer so if you wish I could post it. I recorded
it with the hi-q mp3 recorder set to record raw audio, no pre-processing, and
the mic gain set to 100%. Its mono, my phone does not support stereo recordings
unfortunately.
