You are correct, NVDA is fairly simple to learn.
I was using JAWS for so many years I didn't have to think about which
key combination did what.
It was learning a new Windows, fire fox, Thunderbird, and NVDA all at
the same time that has slowed me down.

I had to put the Sarah game beta development on hold while I switched
from Windows Vista to Windows 8 and Windows 10 computers.
I also went from JAWS to NVDA for my speech program.
And Outlook to Thunderbird for my email.
All these changes have takenn more time than I had planned.
