hit the up arrow when your next to the pit, then hit the right arrow a
few times to move yourself through the air.

I’ve started playing the game The Gate, by VGStorm Games. I am having
an issue. When I get to the pits, how am I supposed to get passed
them? I hear the two foot steps that land on creaky footboards, but
I’ve tried pressing the up errow, to jump over it, and I fall and
die. I’ve also tried to take a running jump, so when I hear he 2^nd
creaky board I hit up arrow to jump, with no luck. Can someone please
