As far as I remember, the crabs island is a bonus mini-game.
A bonus mini-game has the basic definition of being quite hard, but you
can't make a negative score; at least you get 0. This is more or less
what Pragma himself says.
Most of bonus mini-games are on paralel paths where you can sometimes
find several bonus minigames in a row as long as you manage to make 20,
but these paralel paths eventually lead nowhere. Some of them open
shortcuts skipping really hard mini-games, but I think it isn't the case
here.
So you have probably to go back and take another path in order to finish
the world.

A notable exception is in the castle, where you can find a path to the
city behind chasing mosquitos.
