Well once in the powerplant, flip all the switches, go inside the door,
look for a hole on the left side, search about find the switches and
flick them, you will hear a noise when they are all off.
Climb to level 2 after going through the forcefield, and find the
ladders with the generators, flick each switch once on each of them,
climb down.
Find the forcefield and go through it.
Climb to level3, battle a boss and things should pop up again.

In fact you need to systematically explore all the complex maps to
find out your way. Think that the cave may be 10 times bigger than
the power plan, and there are at least 4 floors.
I also took quite a while to find my way up to the 3rd floor.
A small trick: prever steps over ladders.
Be careful, some of the tamers out there are quite hard (at least
I'm having difficulties with my party level 16-18 not especially
suited)
