Hello again, John! I would advise exploring the area. There should be more water to your left, and you would ride that boat the same way you wrote the first one. Then, there should be a couple of tamers, and after you explore some more, you will find the switch that will bring down the force field. Then, you need to backtrack and flip that other switch.
