Well the peg chess set aint the sort of thing you can have in your
pocket, but you could probably pack it, its half the size of a normal board.

As to your other question, I’m not sure what you mean by a “digital
chess set”. I hope this response is something along the lines of what
you are looking for: The best iPhone app that I have found is
“shredder chess”. The skill levels range fron an ELO rating of 850 up
to 2,600, and it will adjust it’s skill to yours as you win or lose
games, and you can check your rating. (mine is currently 1,327.)
Another good app is Chess-wise 3. You can set up a board position and
play from that point with this one, as well as having the ability to
play against other people online, using the Free Chess Internet
Service (FICS), although I haven’t tried that feature as of yet. This
app only has 3 skill settings. Both are Voice-Over friendly. When
playing, I use my own chess set to figure out my next move, but that
is because I cannot play a game without the use of a physical board.
If you think you're finished, you! really! are! finished!!

*Subject:* [blind-gamers] Travel chess sets and digital ones
Hello all,
Speaking of chess, I am looking for a travel chess set for blind. It
can be both with pegs and/or magnetic, it doesn't matter. I found one
on maxiaids, 22x22 cm when openned, but maxiaids are very bad and
irresponsible, so much so that they took my money, wanted more because
they just then discovered that what they offered as a shipping option
would not be possible, and then cancelled my order because according
to their security policy they can't accept international creditcards.
I am surprised that such a garbage can even work in a country such as
the US, but that's another story. Back to the topic, I haven't found
such a small chess anywhere else.
Any recommendations?
Also, how about accessibility of digital chess sets? Does anyone have
any success in playing those without vision, and if yes, what is the
price and where to find them?
Thanks to everyone in advance, and best regards!
Miloš
