Precisely. I'd recommend wordpress.com, not dot org, at this stage, because you
really don't need advanced plugins and everything like that. All you need, at
this stage, is just a landing place on the web that also gives ways for people
to stay subscribed to your news/blog updates/whatever updates you want to put
out. There's absolutely no need to fork money out just to have a domain name
and otherwise just yet.

I suggest wordpress.com rather than Wix or Weebly is because their entire back
end is screen reader friendly. So, you, as the sighted user, won't have to
worry about landmarks and form accessibility and stuff like that. Wix and
Weebly and Squarespace are not WCAG compliant, at all, even when you choose
one of their recommended themes.

I'm an expert accessibility tester. [My resume is
here](http://www.blindjournalist.wordpress.com/tech/) if you'd like to see my
qualifications. Below, you will find a page to select an accessibility ready
wordpress.com theme. This is important, because no other CMS has a vast array
of accessibility ready themes and will even host your website for you.

Actually, [Jimdo is an accessible
CMS](https://www.jimdo.com/website/personal-hobby/) that appears to not require
any coding or manual server maintenance but I've not tested it yet. For now,
pick an accessibility ready theme from the link below and start building. :)
