Is it possible to settle a new plot of land in offline mode?

Hi is anyone else unable to connect to castaways 2? It seems the
server has been down for a while now and in offline mode things take
ages to grow as you can't just log out then come back to tasks which
is a real pain, and makes the game even longer and more drawn out.
