Hello all, my name is Cynthya BrianKate and I am glad to finally find a
group to reach out to as a legally blind gamer. The quick version is, I am in
need of being able to find some accessible role-playing games I can play, which
have a good player population and are more creative/crafting than the mindless
grind killer type I keep finding.
I've been playing MUD (as in Multi-User dungeon) games for a while, the
problem is that my favorite game, Lensmoor, has fell into a total player
shortage and I've spent half a year trying to attract [players. so instead I
am reaching out to ask what my options are, and say what I want in a game.
First, I am looking obviously for something a blind person can play. I
have been playing over my iphone I'm typing this on, and soon to be doing so on
an ipad once it finally gets here.
I need a game which has a good player population. As in people play
iot, and more than five or six. I want to be able to interact with a bunch of
other players.
I prefer text-based games, but if there are other types I can play, I'd
be interested.
I need a game which is more than just grind and kill over and over,
that bores me crazy.
I am looking for a game where I can express my creativity and craft
items, be they weapons, armor, clothing, food and drinks or other things. I
want a game where there is some character development beyond just I bought a
badder sword, where my characters can grow and evolve and develop themselves.
I have been knocking myself out googling til as Willow said on Buffy, I
can google no more, and have been asking on a couple blind gamer facebook
groups, to not much answers. Can some folks here give me some ideas, cause I
am wondering if I'm too not into just killing for killing's sake here?
