From a quick glance at the code, it seems that the libraries file you mentioned contains screen reader resources, and the game extracts them each time it's run.
I'm not entirely sure why it's designed this way, but I can
confirm that there are no sounds.

Nicol, on the audiogames.net page for hack, under
features, it just says "text", so, chances are it's a text-only
game?

HI all
I browsed the audiogames archive and came across an interesting game called
hack.
Originally dan z created the game for the blazy note taker but it has been
ported using bgt.
ItsĀ a game where you are a note taker and you fight other note takers.
My question: does the game have any sounds?
IN the zip file there is a file called libraries.dat.
When I launch the game there is no sounds, only speech.
Is this .dat file suppose to be the sounds of the game?
If so, do I need something else for the sounds to work?
Many thanks for any help
