seemingly such mods are available for coleco, and intellivision, as well as for 
the atari. I currently use mine with one of those portable cassette/radio/tv 
machines, but if I can get the mod done properly, could then connect it to my 
home cinema system, which would be rather good.

that has the Atari 2600 module attachment. I can't remember how I did it, but I 
think it's rigged up through the antenna port on my 2015 TV. I don't use it all 
that often, but if I do want to use it, it works. I wonder how much this 
modification cost, though, and if it would work with the system I have.

    if you are a fan of the retro/vintage atari 2600 console, but no longer 
have an analog tv to use with one, it looks like there was an AV modification 
available for it. 
    this means that consoles with this mod, will work with any tv or home 
cinema system, as they just plug in to a standard set of AV inputs.
