I think its priced at $30 (I think), but its meant to be free to play now, I think if you set up a free account, then email the developer, although he sometimes takes a few weeks he should upgrade your account for free. Even with the free version though you can play the first seven levels of the game. I also second the recommendation for a dark room on the iPhone, I know you said you were more looking for PC games, but A dark room has a nice balance of kind of turn based battles, it has some exploration and also some resource management elements to the game too. Final suggestions, if you like resource management style games although I haven’t played them much myself Cast aways by Aprone is a PC game and popular in the audio games community. Along with resource management, it has some building mechanics and combat too, although I can’t remember if combat is turn based or not though. Not sure if its stretching a little far away from resource management style games/building games as I’d personally class it more as a simulation game, but it has elements of resource management and building, the game is Park boss by nick Adams, it’s a PC game. Its free to play, don’t know if you ever played the main stream game called theme park world, but its very similar to that, it’s also free to play . I played it, and loved it, but I don’t feel overly compelled to go through it again, as some of the quests were a bit tedious at times. It sounds like Manimon 2 is another one I now need to try. Aside from that, I have been playing torn for over a year now, and it gets more accessible all the time. My poor doctorn plugin isn’t getting updated anymore, and I miss that, but that is a whole different tangent. Anyway, audiogames has so many games listed, I couldn’t begin to pick through them all, so seeking advice on potential choices. Hero’s call was good, so anything like that I would give a go, otherwise casting back to my sighted gaming days, I would be keen on things like: Civilization. Heroes of might and magic. UFO or jagged alliance (turn based strategy). Anything with base building / research / resource gathering etc, but probably only in turn based fashion, as I can’t see C&C, starcraft / warcraft etc translating too well. Thanks in advance.
