When using the cannons, save and if it doesn't go in the right direction, reload the game. You have to try to remember which direction you launched yourself. I think F 4 is the last hard part. After that is just a very interesting boss fight. Also there are cannons that take you back to return you to where you came from, just like the two cannons that took you back to the belt with the fast lazers.
