First time I go in on a mud that's new to me, I find what the prompts are and save those to a file. For these prompts to work in a tintin script, they need #action commands as the first things on their lines. So I needed to create a new character since I made a mistake and added more than a single sub-class to a character and those sub-classes in mudschool environment did not help with defeating monsters especially when magic was used. I had already written a script for the mud that worked and the last prompt asked for a character name. In order to get to where I could create a new character I ran the script after having removed that last #action statement but left the rest of the line intact. tintin then treated that last line as a comment and I was able to create the character then replace that #action part on the first part of the line. Log in after that, and the script ran like a swiss watch.
