All of the tile sets need to be disabled for screen reader users. The tile sets are only eye candy. The object of the game is to survive long enough to get the real amulet of yendor and do the necessary things with it and become a demigod. That is what is called an ascention. You would have to be at least a level 30 character and have lots of good equipment to even have a chance at that. Every level in the game requires two times the points the last level required so level 30 needs something like 7 digits worth of points. There are gain level potions in the game and these should be used as late as possible since they'll get you past levels with higher point requirements than would be the case on lower levels. If your pet finishes the game with you you get a points bonus too.
