Hi.

Also using an Iphone 8 here.

what I find best, is to use  the option to correlate your motions to the phone, that way the phone can measure how far you swing.

I then either stand or sit, hold the phone in my write hand, and swipe with my left, and swing the phone across my body and out to one side or another, while keeping the phone facing the same way as though playing table tennis.

the game is a bit none specific  on motion, but you actually seem to need to move the phone in space, rather than swing your body to one side or another, it's also useful to use the correlate space option before you start, since often I've noticed the phone can sometimes get stuck on one side or the other.

Doing  this, I did find the game fun, and a nice way to relax a bit.

Hth.

all the best,

Dark.

Hi,

I've tried some games with my iPhone XR and IOS 16 plus in which you swing your
arm left and right. For some reason, I can't seem to make this work
consistently, if at all. The game I'm playing now is Blindfold Runner, and it
seems to be portrait oriented. Any pointers, like exactly how you hold the
phone and make a successful swing?

Thanks for any input,
