I don't have either. The only markers I have are blocked mineshaft, the
thief campsite, farhaven, and primary ore vein. I even tried moving
around on the overhead map, but just end up going in circles.

Check your map. Underground lake should be listed there now. If not,
check for goblin trapdoor and you will have to walk through the lake.
