Happy fall, everybody! We hope everyone enjoyed the One Summer Night event held last month. Our next game event will be Halloween Havoc, which we’ll talk about more in next month’s update.
Here’s a summary of recent updates to Alter Aeon: * Updated the Angels’ Cry area, changing mobs and keys so all the parts now load in the area with the intent of making it flow better. * Cleaned up many job target items that have wrong composition or type and were showing up for the wrong jobs. * Tidied up loose questlines and filled in missing pieces of equipment for newbie island sets. * Added new music tracks for the mirror plane and dimensional forest. * Various spells have been rearranged into different groupings to give the cleric class 8 non-obscure spellgroups, like the other classes. * The “metallurgy check” command has been updated to tell you which skill you need to learn to forge with a given metal if you don't already know the skill. * The clay man, straw man, wood woad, metal construct and crystal skull necromancer minions can now be bloodcasted, giving them new and improved abilities. * Two new “where” command options have been adding: “tattoo” for finding tattoo artists, and “buyer” for finding shopkeepers willing to purchase items. * The help pages for guilds and armored skin were updated to make them clearer. * A level option for sorting leaderboard results was added. * There is a new option for returning players: age reset. If you have a character that hasn't logged in for over a year and is at least 200 years old, you will be able to reset their age to 50 using “set agereset -force”. Here are some future plans: * Two of the new Realms of Hades areas, the Elysian Fields and Asphodel Meadow, have been finished and will be released in October alongside the Halloween event. * Work continues on implementing the hunting skill. A prototype should be available to builders next month. * The aforementioned Halloween Havoc event will commence near the end of October. This is one of (if not) the biggest events of the year. Building continues in various areas, including: * Castle Ket, a level 13 area for the island of Kordan * Port Crimsonia, a high level area for the continent of Ramanek * The Pits of Tartarus, another high level area for the upcoming Realm of Hades.
