Ok, so I know I can get a water tame from the ocean. Do I get a fire tame from the desert? Been a long time since I first got them and can't recall from where. Also, you mentioned wood, where do I find a tame like that? Are there only 3 or more?

Repeat until you get one you like As for having a fight that does element damage. That happens when you have a fight against another tame that is not the same as you. Only thing is it might not be on your side but the opponents side. So if you have a fire and your battling a wood then its on your side. But if your fire is up against a water then the element bonus is on their side and your probably gonna lose.
