In several games, I find the controller to provide an excellent playing experience on iOS. In particular, I have tried the Gamesur T3 and T4 pro controllers as well as the 8BitDo Pro 2 controller. I frankly prefer the feel of the 8BitDo controller, but it's significantly more expensive. The 8BitDo controller gets even more expensive if you want to buy the clip that allows you to mount an iPhone to the controller. The Gamesur T4pro comes with a lesser quality phone mounting clip with no additional purchase. You should know that both controllers work better to mount the phone without a case and that mounting the phone is not required to play, as all these controllers use bluetooth. The Gamesur T3S is also a good controller. My wife uses it also, but it charges over micro USB and doesn't feature a mounting clip. One major advantage to all three of these controllers over other offerings is that they support multiple kinds of devices. All three support play on Nintendo Switch, Android, iPhone/iPad, and PC. I like that, because it means I need to own, and learn, one controller for pretty much any kind of device I might want to use. There are lots of other offerings out there, and some may be superior. I wouldn't know, because, for the price, these three are the best, in my opinion. As a note, if you own, or can get, either an XBox 1 controller or newer or a Dual Shock 4 controller or newer, they should work with iPhones. I don't, so I can't tell you much about it.
