Thanks all for the help. I now know the difference between the bandit
campsides and the ambush sides and they will be flagged when found. I
only found 2 or 3, but will search later..

The bandit camps you have to clear for the captain aren't hidden
behind the vines, though I think there is one there as well, and it
might count toward the quest if you find it before you're finished
with it. They're on both sides of the river, some of them a bit
difficult to get to through the terrain. It's been several months, at
least, since I played, but I can recall two camps right across a trail
from one another that are pretty easy to get to. There's one near the
fishery, I think, and another near Mathias's family's cabin. One is
near the lumber mill as well, though I'm not sure at the moment if
that's one that's right across the road from the other. I want to say
there are five of them. I'm not 100% on that, though.

beyond the vines that required the flowers to clear them. But key is
that the ambush points were on either side of the road, so following
the road should bring you withing scanning range of them.

I don't know about copying the text, but the ambush sites will be
marked with a flag when you find them. I don't remember where all of
them are, but it's not the camp sites.
