Agreed. Your system still has to render the graphics, even if you set
options as low as they can go. Keep in mind that the minimum
requirements are just that, requirements. A system that meets only the
minimum requirements, high as they may be, will not be able to play the
game with all settings on high quality.

I think you are better served by getting a machine which will be on the
low-end but still powerful enough to run many games. Those certainly exist.
