I'd have stood up and said, "This is Mrs. So-and-so, and her
hobby is provoking emotions on other peoples' faces and then
drawing them. I suppose she tried to make my white skin turn red,
and she succeeded. Then see what she does. It still happens to
me, someone will be helping me get my food and I literally have
to almost cut them off from telling them what I want to put it
in my own words. Quite embarrassing, really. Oh it reminds me of
how the stupid stupid stupid coffee shop in the back of the
library won't take the means of money storage that we usually use
at schoolio and things. Lol. Like a cash card but different.

Oh, man, that really sucks. Similar things have happened with
me, but that probably tops them all off.

Ugh, that reminds me when I was at this meeting it was for this
artist's
mentor ship grant thing that I'm now applying for and well while
we were at
the meeting we had to introduce ourselves and talk about what our
art
mediums were, and I guess I was the first to introduce myself.
And well I
didn't realize I was the first one to go first, because there
were so many
other people there so my teacher right next to me goes "This is
Rachel and
she likes to draw" it was so embarrassing.

I've been out for dinner with my family and people will say
"what would she
like to eat?" my dad tends to turn to me and go "I don't know,
Holly, what
would you like to eat?"

Another thing I noticed about people like that (God love them)
is that
some direct questions about or for me to my friends, or parents.
"And what
will she be having tonight?" "Will she need to take the stairs?"
I always
try to get my answer in first, politely, of course. The best
thing you can
do in those situations is teach them on the go.

I also love the people who practically shout because they think
that
we're
deaf. Or talk really slowly because they think we have a mental
disability.

I'd reply, "We walk." or "Our lack of eyesight does not prohibit
our motor skills in any way." or even better, "How do you get
around?" lol

I know I always get annoyed when people ask questions like
"Aren't they
blind? How the hell do they get around?" It's like "With their
legs?"

Hell, I'm sure people have a tendency to stare at me walking
around campus,
simply because they apparently don't know how the hell I get
around, when to
me it's almost second nature by now. And, anyway, what is the
6th form? Or,
forms, for that matter?

do you ever find school awkward in that respect? I started a new
school
last
september and it was really hard at first. It's not so bad with
the rest of
the 6th form, but people in the lower years still act weird
about it.

That it resonable, but I dunno I still don't really like it,
because
it just makes me feel awkward when I go to public places.

Maybe
it's
because I can't see it, but my take on it is that 9 times out of
10,
they're
just curious, especially with little kids. Granted, staring is
not very
becoming, but I really don't pay too much attention.

I hate people who stare. it makes me so mad, or people that are
rude when
we're out.
