Hi, Steve.
Right now most accessible games attempt to remain small enough to be
downloaded via the internet and have a cd as an option. However, as
demands grow it may be benifitial to sell
games via cd primarily. One reason for this is by using a cd as an
install medium the developer can use better sound effects, have more
music tracks, possably images, etc...
I know when STFC starts shipping I definately will offer a cd install
just because all the requirements will be on the disk, and the size of
the install file won't matter on the disk. Via the internet I attempt to
keep the size down so the msi install file does not include the
framework, DirectX, and you have to grab them separately if you need them.
