Hi Figure,
I worked on Ten Pin Alley and when we decided on the
voice we picked one that was like a nineteen fifties TV announcer that did
shows like bowling for dollars.
That is Josh's voice doing the accent deliberately sounding like a used car
salesman.
I think you are correct in that the voice talks too much so you can hit a
control key to stop him speaking.
I would have preferred either a switch that is saved to adjust the verbosity
like in JFW or the game automatically talking less as you play a game.
But Josh had the final decision on these matters.
