Why, though, should you get it at a cheaper price after it is made available to everyone? The idea is to give a discount to those who are willing to order it before it is released. He's basically saying, "Have faith in my company. The game will come out. Because you show good faith in my company, here's what I'll do. The price of the game will be $50. If you show good faith and trust, I'll sell it to you now for $35." Nobody says that you have to do this. Nobody is forcing you to buy now and get the game when it comes out. But if you want to, go for it and get a discount. If you don't want to, then you, just like everyone else who does not take advantage of the offer, pays $50 for the game. Now, what can be simpler than that? How hard is that to understand? Common sense and simple logic would tell you that if you can buy the game at a cheaper price if you do not preorder, nobody would preorder, so what would be the point of offering it at a higher price to those who buy early? Sheesh. And, before anyone asks, the prices I quoted in this example of what I am trying to get across are not the actual prices. I used these rounded figures merely as an example.
