Hi, Steve. Preordering is a common business practice. Often when an item is offered for preorder it is esentually on sale for the preorder period. then, it moves to the list price when released. The savings for preorder is a business insentive to get to buy the product early to get some early capital. So what is wrong with putting an item on sale? A business could just as well not release the item early at all, offer the item at full price always, and make everyone pay equally.
