Over 90 percent of computers have the flash players. If you are using Jaws you can use the insert+v then move down to the flash Movie. Toggle with space barthen hit enter. Do this on a web page. The ShadowBeam only has one thing on it and it is a flash movie. The web has many sites with the flash and not turning it you may miss out on things. Sites that use it for action characters will effect the refreshing the page and at times you may want to turn it off to better get around a web site. I am going to stay from this type of flash movies. I have recently download the Micromedia Flash 8 to build accessible flash content for my different sites like playball.ws. I also found a great deal to buy Powerpoint to help in designing.
I have been in contact with a company that is interested in helping the blind community in Voice communication on the web. My sites could soon have a system for Voice forums and Voice email. View flash contents with other TTS check your Help files or ask toher users with the same TTS to find out. AS I know the IBM TTS can not see the flash content. A large company you think would have improve their TTS. Many IBm TTS users are looking forward to the soon to coming newer version, but are still waiting. I guess for the price tag you get what you pay for. So, if you have at Least Jaws or Window Eyes you can view flash content. As far as I know there are sites that have flash games and blind gamers have played them.
