Hello,
The fact that the potions, nor the gems/Gold do not show up after you die is
not a bug. It's the way it's supposed to be.
Also, for everyone complaining about the ropes, you can not jump to another
rope from the very very top. As Michael has stated, you need to climb down a
bit, and experiment.
