take care... ----- Original Message ----- From: ken downey To: [email protected] Sent: Sunday, January 08, 2006 7:42 AM Subject: audyssey: a new car I tried uploading a new car to djc's ftp. I can't figure out how to upload to the playing in the dark web site. Anyway, I made a new car. It's a porshe 911. The way I put the sounds together is revolutionary--well, for this game it is. It's the same technique they use in mainstream games. The engine sound is the interior +of the car with a bit of wind noise added. The throttle is the actual racing engine sound people have been using, so when you hit the gas you hear the screaming of the engine, but when you release it you hear the engine coasting, slowing down, and the wind roaring by. I challenge you guys to do better, and I don't mean that as a statement of boasting, but as a genuine challenge. Out do this car!
