Hi, list.
Like Raul I'd like to take this time to introduce myself formally to the
list. Also like Raul I am honored to be here, and hope I can be more a
fellow gamer and developer to you rather than just a moderator. However,
I have a vision for this comunity and hope we can all pull together to
make it happen.

About Myself

I have been active on mailing lists since the mid 1990's, and do
moderate the USA Games mailing list, and am a fan of accessible games.
All of you know I am a programmer/developer of accessible games, and I
have a strong interest in seeing our comunity grow and become more
recognised.

My Vision]

First, Once this list was an active comunity where the gamers were able
to talk one-on-one with the developers, and there was little of this
company flaming etc.... I would like to see this list restored and have
people like David Greenwood, Phil, Justin, etc more active on list and
interacting with the customers. I know of a developer personally who is
not revealing his identity in fear of getting flamed. This should not
be, and if Raul and I do our job well this hopefully will no longer be
the case.
Second, while I hope to be a good moderator of the list I would like to
contribute in other ways. I am willing to use USA games resources such
as web space, my web site management, and so on to bring the audessy
magazine web site back online.
One of the goals of the new site would be to announce For the People
chat times, hold all issues of the mag, have game reviews, walkthroughs,
a comprehensive site listing for game developers like Audiogames.net
does, and more miner things like give Ron an official email address like
[EMAIL PROTECTED] which forwards to his other mailing address.
Third, I have no desire to be the kind of moderator who plays the tough
guy act, and wish to be fair as possible when and where possible.
However, with that in mind I won't hesitate to use my moderation
authority when an individual on this list continually flames, disrupts,
and offends other listers. In such a case that individual will get a
warning privately to change the behavior. If that fails the person will
be moderated and or band based on the offence until such time as Raul
and I agree that he or she shall return to the comunity. In such case I
feel the person should be moderated or band I will discuss this with
Raul prier to taking the higher level of action unless the offence is
clearly one that can not be ignored such as an individual is verbally
assaulting another lister, passing out game cracks, and other extremely
unexceptible behaviors.
Last, if a individual writes to me privately about a problem with
another lister I will do my best to keep all comunications private, and
will not share the persons name or content with the rest of the list.I
know this was a point of contention some time back, and I hope Raul and
I will avoid future issues with this.
Finally, if I decide I have a problem with Raul's moderation decision I
will speak to him privately rather than openly on the list. I hope that
Raul would return the favor. If the decision can not be reached between
us on a matter then will we move it to the owner, Kevin, who has the
final say on the matter.

Happy gaming to all, and I hope we all can get along. Smile.
