Hi. Well, don't knock it. Being a project overtaker has made some software developers very ritch. Grin. Have you ever heard how Bill Gates and Microsoft got started? Short story was there was a guy who was writing a new and simple operating system called QDOS.The guy never fully got the operating system going, and decided to sell out to a little known software company called Microsoft ran by Bill Gates. Well, Bill and the gang did a little of this and that to QDOS renaming it to MS DOS. At the same time IBM was looking for an operating system for their new PC moddle computers. Hmmm.... anyone guess which company got the rights to ship there os on the PC? If you guessed Microsoft you guessed right. From there IBM licensed MS DOS calling it PC DOS. Since IBM did it the other computer manufacturers began licensing MS DOS, and from there the rest is history. Microsoft changed from the relm of unknown nobody to a household brand.
