Hi Chris,
I do think that Michael's article was well stated, the emotions were
clear, but I only wish that he might have said something about the USA
Games acquiring the Montezuma's Revenge source. I felt in many respects
what Michael felt about Alchemy doing away with the game, and the main
reason I went to unusual lengths to salvage the game from certain
destruction. I am still doing that in fact as I am willing to completely
do a from the ground up rewrite on the game so that it is as good as if
not better than the original idea.
I am glad though Michael stated what was expected from the Montezuma's
game. He has stated it many times on list, but never so clearly how he
wants the real Montezuma's revenge in accessible format. I think for a
large part I can do that although it has been 20 years since I
personally played that game. Obviously, some areas are getting quite
fuzzy in my memory.
I just hope he doesn't mind the changes I do plan to make such as a male
to female character, and small cosmetic changes like that.
