Hi. At the time my brother was 4 and I was 14 or so when we first got
the NES. We got the three in one starter pack. It came with Super Mario,
Duck Hunt and some Olympic game I can't remember the name. Anyway, it
was for Christmas and we, meaning my brother and I played Super Mario
for most the two weeks of our school vacation for Christmas. I finally
made it through to the end of the game World 8-4. After you beat the
main king the game recycled and you went through it all over again
starting at World: 1-1 with a few differences.
1. no more mushrooms. Instead they were all the faster and fireproof
beadles.
2. Everything went faster.
3. You had less time to complete each world.
If there were other changes I forget. Rumor had it that if you went
through the game 5 cycles it would unlock a totally new world, a
sneak-peak of Mario 2 but I think those rumors were false.
