Hi Thomas,
I also remember playing Super Mario Bros 1 on the NES, but was only
able to get to the end of level 1-1.
Speaking of classic games, another game I was able to play reasonably
well was Renegade for the NES. It was a fighting game where you were being
attacked by gang members or something like that. While playing the game
with my brother back in 1990 or so, I defeated the boss on Level 1, much to
my brother's surprise. I can still remember him saying "I don't know how he
did that!"
