Max, I think the mixer's phantom power is for higher quality condensor mikes which need that much. I assume this is a high end mixer.
Most of these inexpensive condensor mikes need 5 volts or so through a few K ohms which might or might not be build into the mike. I believe usually, the power is ring to sleeve and the audio is tip to sleeve and if stereo, tip to sleeve and through a small cap from the ring to the sleeve. Get out your clip leads and a couple jacks and a 9 volt batery and a small amplifier and play with them.
