Hi Anyone who lives in snow country knows that the snowblower is one of the most time- (and back-) saving inventions of all time. Steps: 1. Decide which of the two types of snowblowers you need. A single-stage blower whirls the auger at high speed. A two-stage blower with a slower-moving auger has more power. 2. Get your snowblower serviced before snow falls. 3. Check the engine oil level, clutch, blower system, and chute positioning before starting. 4. Spray the discharge chute with silicone spray before use to reduce clogging. 5. Blow snow the natural direction from the impeller, usually to the right. 6. Check wind direction and work with the prevailing wind direction. 7. Avoid backing up; work in circles instead. 8. Try not to avoid blowing snow twice. Overall Tips: If the weather forecast predicts snowfall, inspect the driveway and sidewalks that will need to be cleared. Remove all objects that may cause injury or damage the snowblower. Check the area again before starting the blower. Know how to stop the machine quickly and shut the engine off. Overall Warnings: If a hand or foot gets caught in the snowblower, serious injury is likely. Keep all shields in place and keep hands and feet away from all moving parts.
