I see someone else suggested changing the cord set on the airconditioner. That could involve removing the AC from the cabinet. If it were me I would go with changing the socket. It involves turning off the breaker and taking out a few screws. No matter witch end you change you need to get the right color wires to the right connections. Punch the AC plug through a piece of paper making a pattern of the prongs, their placement, orientation, and shape.
