Hi Don Sure will let you know how it goes, he wants all the old rails for fire wood for next Winter that saves me cutting them up and dumping them. I bought 2,000 tex screws will not need all of these but I have a project in mind and the left over screws will come in handy for this, With my tex screw gun which I bought last year we should have no problem driving them home it has a magnetic chuck which is handy for holding the screws while locating the position before drilling. There is one part of the fence where I have a lot of plants which is going to pose problems getting the sheets off opposite the posts. But the rest of the fence is a straight run with no plants there so this should be easier. The only way to prize the sheets off is to drive a nail bar down between the rail and the sheet and prize it off. Either the nail pulls out or the sheet pulls off over the nail head which is quite small. The next door neighbour has bought all the rails himself and does not want me to pay half for he bought them through is work and wanted a special colour, for he will be looking at the rails . My deal was to buy the screws and give him a hand to replace all the rails. So for a couple of days hard work I will promote the good neighbour policy and at the end will have a cold one.

We have started weeding and planting new plants, then we will cow manure all our gardens. We will buy a small truck load of cow manure for they deliver free in this area rather than hook up a box trailer and haul it home ourselves. The weather this time of the year is beautiful and you really appreciate the wonderful sunshine without it being blazing hot. Going out tomorrow to buy new plants to fill up spaces of plants we dug out because we wanted a different species in those locations. So lots of work ahead for this blind handyman. A big job coming up the next door neighbour wants me to give him a hand to remove all the hard wood rails in his side of the fence and replace with galvanise steel rails . All up about 320 feet, getting the old rails off is the hardest part for when I built the fence I used helical nails which turn when nailed in and are a bugger to remove. Screwing the galvanised clip lock fencing back on should be easy for we are going to use self drilling screws The removal and replacement I hope should take us about 2 days if the rails come out easy but we need to remove either the top or bottom one at a time first and screw home the replacement before removing the other thus holding the fencing in location in it's present form. What I do not want to happened is the fence to topple over causing the sheets to come apart and loose the sloping form I have there now. For the property has a slope from the back towards the front. Lucky I used galvanised pipe for the fence posts when I built the fence so they are still in excellent condition and we will not need to replace any of these. Just waiting on him to give a start date then it is full steam ahead. Will let you know when this project has been completed.
