Hi
Here are instructions on programing 5 Different Remote Controls.
Programming a Jasco/GE Universal Remote Control takes about seven steps. As
with programming other remotes, you need to know the code of the component
you
are programming into the remote. While some trial and error may be required
to get the right codes input to control your equipment, the pleasure at
getting
rid of several extra remote controls will far outweigh the hassle in getting
it programmed.

Steps:
1.
Manually turn on the device you wish to program.

2.
Press the Code Search button on the remote until the indicator light turns
on.

3.
Release the Code Search button.

4.
Press and release the button for the device you are programming.

5.
Enter the three-digit code for the device using the number buttons on the
remote. After the code is entered, the indicator light turns off.

6.
Aim the remote at the device and press the power button. The device should
turn off.

7.
Press Channel Up on the remote with the device on. If the device responds,
no further programming is required.

8.
To look up a device code to enter directly into the remote, you can visit
the
GE Remote Code Locator
website.

Tips:

If your exact product isn't listed, try the codes for other products from
the same manufacturer. Typically a manufacturer will use similar programming
codes
for all of their products.

GE remotes are also sold under the brand name Jasco.

Tips from eHow Users:

RC24912-B GE Universal remote by eHow Friend
The GE/JASCO website instructs users to hit the code search button to begin
programming your universal remote. However, since this particular remote
does
not have a code search button, hit the setup button instead. Hit the setup
button until the red indicator light stays lit. Then, hit the device you'd
like
to program. Finally, enter the codes specific to your device. It worked for
me after I called GE customer service. It's a pain in the neck when you
can't
find your remote control code. Good luck. I hope this helps.
It takes only a few steps to program a Jensen Universal Remote Control, but
you need to know the code of the component you are programming into the
remote.
You can get the code from the manufacturer of the component, or you can
visit Remote Central (see the list of Related Sites).

Steps:
1.
Manually turn on the component you want to program.

2.
Find the three-digit code numbers for the component brand.

3.
Hold the Device key down until the green indicator light comes on.

4.
Release the Device key. Within 30 seconds, enter in the three-digit code
number. The light will flash when the right code has been entered.

5.
Press the Power key. If the component turns off, you have found the right
code.

Tips:

Follow the steps again for other devices. If the component doesn't turn off,
redo the steps and use the next three-digit code on the list.
It takes only three steps to program a Sony Universal Remote Control. While
some trial and error may be required to get the right codes input to control
your equipment, the pleasure at getting rid of several extra remote controls
will far outweigh the hassle in getting it programmed.

Steps:
1.
Press the Off button and the Mute button on the remote at the same time.

2.
Press the Component Select button for the device you wish to program.

3.
Enter the two-digit code of the product you are programming into the remote
and push the Enter key.

4.
Look up the codes you need to program your Sony Universal Remote on the
Sony Remote Code Support
website.

Tips:

If your exact product is not listed, try the codes for other products from
the same manufacturer. Typically a manufacturer will use similar programming
codes for all of their products.
It takes only a few steps to program a Zenith Universal Remote Control, but
it often proves more difficult than it would appear from the simple
instructions!
Despite the hassle in getting the codes right, you'll be rewarded when you
can eliminate several remotes in favor of a universal one.

Steps:
1.
Manually turn on the component you wish the remote to program.

2.
On the remote, press and hold the CODE SEARCH button until the indicator
light illuminates, then release the button.

3.
Press and release the button for the component (TV, VCR, etc.)

4.
Find the three-digit code for the component in the code list (this should be
located in your remote's instruction booklet) and enter it using the number
buttons. The indicator light should turn off.

5.
Check to be sure the right code was entered by pressing some of the buttons
with the component turned on. The component should respond, indicating that
it is properly programmed.

Overall Tips:

If you don't have a list of codes, check the Web site www.xdiv.com/remotes/.
If your exact product isn't listed, try the codes for other products from
the
same manufacturer. Typically a manufacturer will use similar programming
codes for all of their products.

It takes just a few steps to program an RCA Universal Remote Control using
the Automatic Code Search method. While there may be some trial and error,
the
pleasure of getting rid of several extra remote controls will far outweigh
the hassle in getting it programmed.

Steps:
1.
Turn on the component you want to program.

2.
Press and release the component button on your remote that corresponds to
the component (TV, VCR, etc.) you want the remote to operate. The
illuminated
ON-OFF button will turn on and remain on.

3.
Press both the component and the ON-OFF buttons. The illuminated ON-OFF
button will turn off, and then will come back on.

4.
Release both buttons after the ON-OFF button turns back on. The button
should remain illuminated.

5.
Press and release the PLAY button. If the component does not respond after
five seconds, continue to press the PLAY button every five seconds until the
component turns off.

6.
Press and release the REVERSE button when the component turns off, then wait
to see if the component turns on again.

7.
Press and release the STOP button to save the new code.

Overall Tips:

Each time you press the PLAY button in Step 5, the ON-OFF button blinks ten
times and a list of 10 codes is sent to your component. This process
continues
until all of the code lists have been searched. If the component has not
turned off after all codes have been searched, the ON-OFF button blinks four
times,
turns off, and the Auto Code Search is exited.

Overall Warnings:

If you do not press the STOP button at the end, the new code will not be
saved.
