NPR reported that a scientific study showed that, contrary to popular
cartoon gospel, mice do not like cheese.

Subject: Re: [BlindHandyMan] How to Rid Your Home of Mice

Aloha all,
We discovered several years ago that mice love ivery soap. My friend
used it in his shower and there were little teeth marks in it. So now
when I load a trap, I just shave off a little piece of the soap, put
a drop of water on the trap, press down the piece of soap and wait
for the trap to snap. I always put the trap on a couple layers of
newspaper. This makes cleanup easier.
