Same here just below the Catskill Mountains Tom. No burning barrels.
years ago we had a pain in the ass neighbor who worked for the phone
company and every Sunday the kids would come over during the summer and
a nice cook out. my problem was, I found out what the stink was from the
fire department I called. that blank blank. used to light his burn
barrel and it would smoke all day. just stinky smoke. come to find out
they used fancy plastic coated picnic plates and the smell was
ungodly.. we can have contained campfires but you need to call county
fire control first. when you start and when you will be done and burn
only yard clippings and other wood. No burn barrels here since at
least 95.Lee
