NLG
your a better man than I. I am pretty darnd good with a wrench but on this
one I finally gave up and took it in. I think I will have to break down and
buy myself a line wrench. I don't have one but they do come in handy. my
truck is also an 89. I don't care what any one thinks 89 was one of the best
years GM ever had. I had an 89 GMC Vandurra, an 89 Olds Cutless and now an
89 s10 and they were all great. So if any one is looking for an old cheep
beater to get them by, any 89 GM in fair condition well maintained should be
a good choice for the most part. But I digress.
PS
Many thanks to Ray for the 56 tips. Very good.
Tip number 57
on many old GM products the cloth on the head liner comes unglued and falls
down on your head. "very anoying"
You can get some little twist tacks from the auto store to tack it back up.
the other quic and easy fix is to use a standard office stapler and simply
staple it back up. We just did this and it worked well. Caution I don't have
a clue how long this will last. The guy that gave me this tip said he did
his about 3 months ago and it is still holding.

Good luck
