Robert,

When you purchase a new air hose it has a threaded male fitting crimped on
each end. These fittings are if memory serves a 1/4 pipe thread and
compatible with most compressors and add on. In other words you could
conceivably thread the crimped coupler on an air hose in to your impact
wrench, air drill, recip saw, tire inflater well you get the idea.
As you can imagine this would be a horrendous pain in the *^^. This is why
we introduce quick coupling technology (Am Flow Fittings.) The female
portion of the Am Flow connector screws on to the threaded portion of the
fitting crimped on to your air hose and the male end threads into the
specific tool, Now rather than un threading your air appliance from the end
of the hose you can quickly change from one tool to another. without
waiting for your compressor to bleed off all of the air pressure making the
change and waiting again for the compressor to rebuild tank pressure. The
addition of Am Flow quick connecters are concerned they alleviate all of
the time and hassle of threading and un threading each component and the
wait time for your compressor.
As far as pricing is concerned I think the piece that threads on the hose
is about $6.00 and the male pieces that thread in to your air tools are
about $2.50 each.
