I know, this is off topic for the blind handyman list but I received a special one time only dispensation from list owner Don Shaw to do this. All we ask is, don't try this at home, you might get injured. You have probably herd all this before and if so, you may skip this message. This is nothing but an impassioned plea for your help. Don and I, plus Tom and the other Don enjoy doing the shows very much. Between the two shows, blind handyman and blind like me, we do around eighty hours each year. I don't have the latest figures on the number of members on each list but I am sure they far exceed the number of shows we do per annum. O k, eighty hours means eighty guests and that is where you can, and we hope will, help. I have heard persons say, well, I don't think my life would be of interest to others. Why not let us be the judge of that and we will tell you if that is indeed the truth and, your life sucks. We do need guests for both shows but especially for the handyman. If you do or have done anything from planting flowers to poring concrete come on the show and share your experiences with other blind folks. Pleas don't just assume we all know how to do what you take for granted. Bottom line is just this. If each one of you either came on the show or, suggested a guest we would have plenty. As I stated before, if you are nervous about doing the shows we can give references who will tell you just how easy and even fun it is. I ask that you pleas give this a little thought and if you can help by doing the show your self or coming up with a guest for either show we will much appreciate it.
