Dear Otis:
I own several cordless screwdrivers the larger of which also works as a
drill. My favorite small model is theMilwalkee
. It is small enough to fit nicely in to the pocket of most work pants and it
is light weight. The gearing makes it a slow moving tool, but powerful. I
prefer the slower speed, as I have less mishaps. For small jobs it can not be
beat.
For larger jobs such as installing drywall all day, I like the Dealt models
either eighteen volt or the next size below. I have never used the newest
large models using higher voltages, but I expect they are even better for heavy
all day type work.
I find that most jobs around the house do not need a large model, so I keep
the Milwalkee charged and ready. You can use it as a straight handled screw
driver, or simply bend it in the middle to form a pistol-grip configuration.
This little fellow even comes with an adjustable clutch for insuring that you
don't wring off the heads of screws or plunge too deeply.
Yours Truly,
Clifford Wilson
PS My spell checker will not function correctly since installing JFW 8 so
check the spelling of Milwalkee.----- Original Message -----

Subject: [BlindHandyMan] cordless screwdrivers
Hi everyone,
I would like to get some suggestions on a cordless screw driver. I'm
basically looking for one that small with a lot of power. If anyone
have any ideas of any that small and has a lot of power, please let
me no so I can review it and see if that's something I would like. I
will be using it around the house and in my wood shop. I'm sure I
will be using it for other thing.
Thanks,
Otis Blue
