Be careful if you plan to purchase a pneumatic brad/staple combination gun. The driver is designed to drive the 1/4" staple and will also drive the 18 gage brad. A friend was putting paneling in his basement and he was not paying too much attention. He did carefully place the brads so they would be in a groove in the paneling. He finished one wall and quit for the night. The next morning when the sun hit the paneling he was more than a little upset. there was a 1/4" wide mark at every nail spot. He ripped down the panels returned the gun and purchased a new brad only gun and new paneling.
This type of gun can save you some money but be careful where you use it.
